Here are my initial ideas that I developed for the climate change piece:

I chose the idea  of portraying the pollution and urbanisation that contributing to deforestation in lugs because i thought the destruction that is happening in our planet is sever and will be only considered if us humans are going to be affected directly and that's why I chose this


Here is the sketch that I created for the piece I did the sketch to help me visualize the final product hen I finish the piece:

I gathered the images that  I needed to create the piece. I made sure that all the images are high quality that they are large files and I did that by using advanced search and filtered out my results.

process:

i opened my age of the lungs and then used the quick selection tool on the lungs to select the parts that i want to put the pattern of the city on it then i used the clone stamp tool to move it on to the lungs because i wanted to create the effect that deforestation affects us in our health and then i  inserted the image of the split road and then i used the spot healing brush to remove the part in the middle and then i transformed it to make it smaller then i used wrap  to control where the direction of the road is.
i inserted the image of the smoke to imply greater effect which is pollution and that contributes to climate change then i liquified the lungs as they weren't straight and a bit waving and unprofessional and then i cropped unnecessary white space on the sides and hen i was left with a white background and went on pixlr because i know that they have creative background that includes smoke and i wanted to use that because it goes well into context with the smoke that is coming out of the lung.

It is estimated that more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide are released to the atmosphere due to deforestation, mainly the cutting and burning of forests, every year.

Forests are vital for life, home to millions of species, they protect soil from erosion, produce oxygen, store carbon dioxide, and help control climate. Forests are also vital for us to live as they provide us with food, shelter and medicines as well as many other useful things. They also purify the air we breathe and water that we need to survive. Deforestation by humans is causing all of these necessary functions to be lessened, and hence damaging the atmosphere even further.

Forests play a huge role in the carbon cycle on our planet. When forests are cut down, not only does carbon absorption cease, but also the carbon stored in the trees is released into the atmosphere as CO2 if the wood is burned or even if it is left to rot after the deforestation process.

Deforestation is an important factor in global climate change. Climate change is because of a build up of carbon dioxide in out atmosphere and if we carry on cutting down the main tool we have to diminish this CO2 build up, we can expect the climate of our planet to change dramatically over the next decades.

This would capture media's attention, since a famous art was retransformed by removing trees and shed to highlight the deforestation adverse effects on humans including less quality air available etc. I would like to incorporate its negative affect on people in my photo.

This digital art was made by Worldwide fund for nature. It encapsulates how creatures , including humans, lung organs would be affected by less trees. I like the element of having 2 ideas associated in 1, where healthy lungs are associated by green trees. I would like to associate the idea of hurt lungs with pollution in my photo.

 I improved my skills in Photoshop, where I incorporated sharp Red colours to show the brutality and to convey the negative emotions. I aimed at a glooming dark background to show the original idea of deforestation. I also incorporated the link between desertification and the construction of buildings.

I chose the idea because I thought it will be a strong piece that coveys the message of the affected animals in a way that portrays the reality of what happens to the animals and I think showing the animal dead will give the negative effect that I am trying to achieve and the fact that the tree and the dead animals body are connected in one circle makes the piece more easier to understand.

first I opened my first image of the tiger and then used the spot healing tool to remove half of the tiger then after that  I inserted the piece of meat that I was going to place inside the tiger then I got rid of the white background then I refined the edges to make the meat not have any hard edges that will make it look unrealistic the I rotated the piece of meat then I wrapped it to adjusted it to make it fit the tiger  then I changed the brightness and contrast to make it lighter and not so red but instead I made it into a faded red.


 I tried to get some of the blood on the branch using the brush tool to make it look realistic. then I inserted a wood to place under the tiger as the tiger seems to be floating. the I wrapped it to make it fit to the tiger then I used the spot healing tool to erase some of the meat on the side of the wood stump because I wna5t it to be equal proportions. the I created blood drops by painting it in and then I used the burn tool to dark what I was working on to make it appear more realistic. Then I cropped the  whole image and got rid of spaces that I didn't need and this helped to increase the focus of the piece which is the dead tiger. after that I used selective colour and added more green yellow tones to give it a foresting feel and to enhance the colour of the tiger.


I added the last element of the my piece which is the chain saw machine that will contain the building inside the it. I removed the chain saw  then I tried and experimented with the wind effect on my piece because I though it fits well as it might imply the wind coming out from the saw machine.
